Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or other technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 8 years of experience in full-stack application development.
- 5 years of experience in one programming language (e.g., Java or Python).
Preferred qualifications:
- Master's degree in Computer Science, MIS or a related technical field or equivalent practical experience.
- 8 years of experience in Java or Python, Google Cloud, Vertex AI or Google AI models (e.g., Gemini, Imagen).
- Experience in architecting back-end infrastructure for Artificial Intelligence.
About the job
You lead all aspects of web development, requirements gathering, software development, testing, documentation, training, implementation, ongoing support, and maintenance for both in-house and customer-facing web applications. You will work closely with a cross-functional team of Googlers using UI and functional specs/prototypes as input. You are empowered to act like an owner, take action and innovate to meet user and customer needs.
In this role, you will collaborate with marketers to identify their pain-points, align on requirements, and implement AI-powered First and Third party solutions to address these pain-points. You will leverage Google AI platforms and technology stack, including Google Cloud, Vertex AI, Gemini, Imagen, and other Google AI foundation models. You will deliver enterprise-grade back-end code using Python or Java. You will have an affinity for User Experience (UX) and User Interface (UI) design, and will develop front-end code leveraging HTML/CSS, Javascript/Typescript, Angular, Material Design, and other UI Frameworks.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $156,000-$229,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities
- Write clear, modular, well-structured, and self-sustaining codes, and develop overall systems design, research, and evaluate vendor supplied applications, and develop recommendations on those applications.
- Build internal solutions, with custom front-end and back-end services with minimal assistance, and identify processes and solutions to ensure controls compliance can be enforced and monitored.
- Help design, build, and deploy internal business applications to support Google’s technology life-cycle, collaboration and spaces, service delivery management, and data and business intelligence.
- Conduct and oversee testing of application modules to ensure application meets specifications and collaborate with analysts and business process owners within one or more teams to help translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Design and build AI-powered applications using Google Cloud.
