As a Program Manager at Google, you’ll lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish — working with stakeholders to plan requirements, manage project schedules, identify risks, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. Your projects will often span offices, time zones, and hemispheres. It's your job to coordinate the players and keep them up to date on progress and deadlines.

The Pixel Software team is responsible for the core software running on Pixel Phones and Tablets. Our team comprises of the major software subsystems. We work closely with Software and Hardware teams from concept to launch to deliver new products on time with high quality. If working with cross-functional groups and driving exciting new products to market is what you are looking for, then this is the team and the role for you.

As a Technical Program Manager, you will be responsible for managing planning and execution of product features on Pixel devices. You will work with our cross-functional Hardware, Software, Product management as well as external Pixel partners teams, effectively collaborate across geographies to deliver high quality features to our users.

The Google Pixel team focuses on designing and delivering the world's most helpful mobile experience. The team works on shaping the future of Pixel devices and services through some of the most advanced designs, techniques, products, and experiences in consumer electronics. This includes bringing together the best of Google’s artificial intelligence, software, and hardware to build global smartphones and create transformative experiences for users across the world.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $126,000-$181,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Manage complex and large-scale software projects. Work with multiple teams on cross-functional initiatives. Interface with Engineering and Technical Program Managers across both hardware and software to estimate work efforts, define milestones and manage resources. 
  • Own planning, scheduling and execution for major/minor milestones considering the overall project deliverables, prioritizing features, getting cross-functional support and escalating as required. 
  • Focus on the user experience and advocate the quality bar internally, as well as with external partners to ensure we maintain a great product.
  • Understand technical implementation at the architecture level to plan and drive decisions when necessary. Ask questions that clarify priorities and push the team to be highly effective.
  • Work closely with our leads and partners to ensure Software and roadmap feature alignment for current and future programs.
