Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 6 years of experience in applied research, user or customer experience research, or competitive intelligence.
- Experience in the B2B public cloud industry or SaaS product space.
- Experience with research design using various methods (e.g., survey design, scaled customer interviews, statistical analysis, etc.).
Preferred qualifications:
- Master’s degree or PhD in STEM, Statistics, Psychology, Anthropology, Behavioural Economics, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience in synthesizing information from a wide range of qualitative and quantitative sources to glean simplified insights that are executive-ready.
- Experience analyzing attitudinal and behavioral data using statistical software packages (e.g., R, SPSS) or other analytics tools.
- Ability to convey insights in a compelling manner for executive audiences, including visual storytelling for data-driven insights.
- Excellent communications skills, with experience in project management driving cross-functional working groups.

The Go-to-Market (GTM) Practice organization, is the central global organization that owns the development and activation of go-to-market plans across all product areas for Google Cloud. The organization is responsible for setting strategy while understanding products and the market, as well as activating the field against the addressable market opportunities, managing performance feedback loops, and enabling the GTM organization to deliver on the financial plan.
The Strategic Insights team drives original research to build insights that enable the seller community and elevates executive decision making by providing in-depth analysis of the customer, competitive, market, and partner context.
As the Customer Experience Researcher on the Strategic Insights team, you will own the research agenda for several insights programs. You will pursue research through mixed methods: Surveys, interview infrastructure, focus groups, 1:1 interviews, third-party market study management. You will be accountable for collating customer and market insights to aid customer experience initiatives and growth strategy development.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $151,000-$222,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities
- Lead a comprehensive, mixed methods customer experience research program to surveil competitive differentiation and understand customer preference drivers along the relationship journey.
- Own key aspects of the research process: scoping, methodology selection, recruiting, fieldwork, synthesis, and reporting.
- Lead survey design activities for programs, working in collaboration with stakeholders across the organization.
- Define and establish the scaled qualitative customer interview infrastructure approach to evolve the win/loss program; partnering with compete leads on the team.
- Translate research findings into insight narratives, tailoring insights for varied audiences.
