Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8 years of experience in product management or related technical role.
  • 3 years of experience taking technical products from conception to launch (e.g., ideation to execution, end-to-end, 0 to 1, etc.).
  • Experience with AI/ML-powered products, particularly in shipping generative AI features to users.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience solving information issues and building delightful, impactful AI experiences.
  • Ability to manage products from early-stage development to significant user growth.
  • Ability to craft and write user-centric evaluations to launch model features.
  • Ability to use a well-honed sense of taste about what makes for great AI content.
  • Ability to use AI for prototyping and re-inventing the product management role.
  • Excellent product design sense and a track record of building beautiful, user-centric interfaces.

In this role, you will work cross-functionally to guide products from conception to launch by connecting the technical and business worlds. You can break down complex problems into steps that drive product development.

One of the many reasons Google consistently brings innovative, world-changing products to market is because of the collaborative work we do in Product Management. Our team works closely with creative engineers, designers, marketers, etc. to help design and develop technologies that improve access to the world's information. We're responsible for guiding products throughout the execution cycle, focusing specifically on analyzing, positioning, packaging, promoting, and tailoring our solutions to our users.

In this role, you will build the definitive consumer-facing product for context management, pioneer AI-driven informational content creation, evolve our product into a multimodal and intuitive User Interface (UI), and relentlessly push models to their fullest capabilities to solve real user problems and help users do more at school, work, and life.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $192,000-$285,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.

Responsibilities

  • Enforce taste and quality for GenAI content formats.
  • Innovate 0 to 1 for new informational and engaging content artifacts.
  • Design steerable flows for users to co-create artifacts with models.
  • Translate user needs, technical requirements, and goals into detailed product requirements, user stories, and clear specifications for engineering, design, and research teams.
  • Define, monitor, and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) for the entire product, using data to measure success, identify areas for improvement, and inform the roadmap.
