Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 15 years of experience in partnerships in creator-services (or other creator-driven industries), entertainment or creator commerce industries.
  • Experience managing a team.

Preferred qualifications:

  • MBA or JD degree.
  • Understanding of the YouTube third-party ecosystem and its impact on content creators and brands.
  • Ability to identify and assess opportunities, with an understanding of their impact on business growth.
  • Ability to grow in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment, managing multiple priorities and adapting to evolving market dynamics.
  • Excellent investigative skills, with the ability to leverage data to drive strategic decisions and measure partnership effectiveness.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and people management skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships at all levels, both internally and externally.

About the job

Our third-party ecosystem plays a pivotal role in enabling creators, users and brands to grow on our platform. This ecosystem includes a wide array of partners, from talent agencies and influencer marketing agencies (IMAs) to multi-channel networks (MCNs) and other service providers that empower creators and businesses on YouTube.

We are seeking a visionary and results-oriented Head of third-Party Ecosystem Partnerships to lead a high-performing team dedicated to fostering and growing this critical network. In this role, you will be a dynamic individual with a proven track record in strategic partnerships, team management, and a deep understanding of the digital video and creator economy landscape. You will be instrumental in defining and executing a cohesive strategy to fully realize the potential of our third-party partners, driving significant incremental business and product adoption across key areas like Shopping and Brand Agreements.At YouTube, we believe that everyone deserves to have a voice, and that the world is a better place when we listen, share, and build community through our stories. The US base salary range for this full-time position is $218,000-$306,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Define and execute the strategy for YouTube's third- party ecosystem to capitalize on the strong potential for scale and economic synergies.
  • Maximize the impact of third-party partnerships via an expert-level understanding of the dynamic landscape. Proactively draw insights and synthesize at the executive level to identify new potential partners, pilot new programs, and drive innovative solutions that benefit partners, creators and the platform.
  • Manage full life-cycle of relationships while monitoring the health and performance of the ecosystem, implementing strategies to address challenges and opportunities in this rapidly evolving ecosystem.
  • Lead, mentor, and inspire a high performing, team of partnership managers, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous learning.
  • Influence executive stakeholders by acting as a connector and trusted advisor between this team and key internal stakeholders across Go-To-Market, Product, Marketing, and Sales.
