Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 8 years of experience in strategy or management consulting or corporate strategy, including sales or GTM strategy in the tech industry.
- Experience in program or project management, managing cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
Preferred qualifications:
- Master's degree or MBA.
- Experience leveraging analytical skills (e.g. financial modeling, Google Sheets, SQL, Looker, etc.) to problem solve, influence business leadership, measure outcomes, and evolve recommendations based on results.
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and influencing to drive operational excellence, delivery of priority initiatives, process improvements, and change management.
- Experience delivering reporting and presentations to audience, asking questions, and leading conversations.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to derive business insights from data.
- Excellent project management skills to lead operational initiatives in a fluid environment.
About the job
As a Strategic Initiatives Senior Manager, you will be a part of our Global GTM Strategy and Strategic Initiatives team that plays a critical role in developing the strategy for how Google Cloud operates, goes to market, and makes investment decisions globally. You will help define our overall go-to-market strategy, propose where we make investments, lead initiatives/programs, analyze the financial viability of different decision-making options, and study the market. You will be a partner of the senior leadership of Google Cloud and will build relationships.Google Cloud accelerates every organization’s ability to digitally transform its business and industry. Responsibilities
- Collaborate across several cross-functional Google teams in order to set and continuously update the overall GTM strategy for Google Cloud.
- Work with the leadership team to define where we make investments in terms of headcount, infrastructure.
- Execute initiatives to set up and optimize our organization and its operating model to drive significant growth of the business.
- Conduct a detailed analysis of financial viability of our business to understand the relative profitability of solutions, markets, and verticals in order to enhance the Profit and loss (P&L) of the business.
- Study the macroeconomic and trends in the market to understand specific new initiatives we can undertake to accelerate our growth.
