About the job

Whether you're on a consumer product (like Gmail, Search, Maps, Chrome, Android) or a business product (Google Ads, AdSense, Google Marketing Platform, Analytics), you take part in a complete marketing experience as you lead every facet of the product's journey. From determining positioning, naming, competitive analysis, feature prioritization and external communications, you help shape the product and help it grow a consumer base. This means you work with a cross-functional team across Sales, corporate communications, legal, webmasters, product development, engineering and more. In this role, you'll be involved with product marketing strategy from beginning to end.

We're looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Retail Marketing Manager to join our Devices and Services Marketing team in Italy.
This is a maternity cover role, offering an exciting opportunity to contribute to the success of Google Pixel and Chromebook products in the dynamic Italian retail landscape.

In this role, you will be instrumental in executing our retail marketing strategy, working closely with our key retail partners to drive awareness, desire, and business of Google hardware. You'll be there at the product launches, seasonal campaigns, and innovative in-store activations, ensuring our brand presence is impactful and our products resonate with consumers across both physical and online channels.

Know the user. Know the magic. Connect the two. At its core, marketing at Google starts with technology and ends with the user, bringing both together in unconventional ways. Our job is to demonstrate how Google's products solve the world's problems--from the everyday to the epic, from the mundane to the monumental. And we approach marketing in a way that only Google can--changing the game, redefining the medium, making the user the priority, and ultimately, letting the technology speak for itself.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate in defining the Go-to-Market strategy planning and execution for new and existing Google hardware products (Pixel and Chromebook) in the Italian market.
  • Build and nurture strong relationships with key retail partners to identify and unlock co-marketing programs that reinforce brand awareness and drive product business for Pixel and Chromebook.
  • Lead the execution of activities aimed at driving awareness, desire, and usage, including product launches and seasonal promotions. This involves leveraging partners' owned and operated channels such as co-ATL (Above The Line), digital owned channels, CRM, BTL (Below The Line) materials, in-store events, and custom in-store placements (e.g., shop displays).
  • Develop and implement engaging in-store activations designed to create impactful brand experiences and drive consumer engagement.
