Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Economics, Statistics, Business Administration, or another quantitative field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 9 years of experience in compensation and benefits.
- 3 years of experience in people management.
- Experience designing and implementing compensation and benefits programs in India.
Preferred qualifications:
- 10 years of experience in management, compensation, benefits program, consulting, or analytics.
- Experience working in a multinational or complex organization.
- Understanding of Indian compensation and benefits laws and regulations.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders.

The Performance and Rewards function is responsible for global broad-based compensation, owning global compensation budgets that represent a material portion of Google’s annual operating expenses. You will design and administer compensation packages and recognition initiatives across Google’s global footprint. Your expertise directly drives employee engagement, attracts talent, and fosters a culture where individuals feel valued and rewarded for their contributions.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive compensation and benefits philosophy and strategy aligned with the company's business objectives and values.
- Partner with India Leadership, People Partners (HR Business Partners) and line managers to align compensation and benefits with business strategy.
- Conduct regular market analysis and salary surveys to ensure competitiveness. Design, implement, and administer a comprehensive benefits package that includes health insurance, retirement plans, wellness programs, and other perks.
- Stay informed about regulatory changes affecting employee compensation and benefits. Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Compensation and Benefits (C&B) specialists.
- Set goals and expectations for team members, providing regular feedback and coaching.
