A cross-functional team, the mission of connecting sales is to provide intelligence and assistance across a powerful platform that is responsible for the lifecycle for all Google Ads customers. By serving as Google’s single-front for our global sales teams, Connect sales helps drive customer success, margin expansion, and seller effectiveness.

AI development is very critical for our platform. Ads business is incepted and managed in connect sales. User experiences we build not only help sales teams win more business for Google, but enable advertisers worldwide to succeed in their business.

As a User Experience Researcher (UXR), you will help your team of UXers, product managers, and engineers understand user needs. You will work with stakeholders across functions and levels and have impact at all stages of product development. You will play a critical role in creating useful, usable, and delightful products. You will explore user behaviors and motivations by conducting primary research such as field studies, interviews, diary studies, participatory workshops, ethnography, surveys, usability testing, and logs analysis.

We’re made up of multiple teams, building Google’s Advertising products including search, display, shopping, travel and video advertising, as well as analytics. Our teams create trusted experiences between people and businesses with useful ads. We help grow businesses of all sizes from small businesses, to large brands, to YouTube creators, with effective advertiser tools that deliver measurable results. We also enable Google to engage with customers at scale.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $237,000-$333,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the bridge between user needs and business reality. Identify and clarify leadership trade-offs to ensure product decisions are both user-centered and commercially viable.
  • Synthesize complex workflows, latent user needs, and technical constraints to define the North Star strategic questions for the organization.
  • Drive ideas to improve products and services through research-driven insights and recommendations.
  • Act as a strategic advisor to director-level and VP-level stakeholders, clarifying the highest-priority problems to solve.
  • Move beyond ideation. Partner with engineering and product to find viable, high-quality paths to ship solutions in a fast-paced environment.
