Technical Program Manager, Central Test Engineering

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience in program management.
  • 5 years of experience in Manufacturing Test Program Management, fixture design for consumer electronics products such as: smartphones, computers or headsets.
  • Experience across all phases of a product development from prototype to production to end of life.
  • Experience with driving Capability Process Index (CPK).

Preferred qualifications:

  • 5 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.
  • Experience managing cross-functional teams and working with international OEM partners to produce consumer electronics products.
  • Experience in hardware test debug, troubleshooting, capital expenditure failure analysis investigation, and contract manufacturer site transfer and on-site management.
  • Experience in the consumer hardware industry.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to inspire the team with clarity and share critical updates. Ability to travel up to 30% of the time.

You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers.

Responsibilities

  • Manage factory test stations from concept to sustaining, Test Technical Program Manager (TPM) is the Proof of Concept (POC) to internal and external teams (Fixture vendors), manages overall test readiness, risks and communication to cross-functional teams.
  • Develop test strategy and optimize the test processes across the entire production line from sub-assembly and FATP (Final Assembly, Test, Packout).
  • Drive, retest and test issues during manufacturing stages.
  • Work on test related Standard Operating Procedure (SOP), test fixtures readiness, cycle time, and line balance. Manage schedules and plan for all test engineering deliverables (data collection features/solutions, test framework software drops, fixture bring-up, fixture qualification, ongoing audits, etc).
  • Collaborate with suppliers and engineering teams in developing test coverage including assessment of process flow, equipment/ fixture designs, process controls, implementation schedules and validation plans prior to any Engineering build.
