Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 3 years of experience working with client-side web technologies (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript, or HTTP).
- 3 years of experience coding with one or more programming languages (e.g., Java, C/C++, Python).
- Experience troubleshooting technical issues for internal/external partners or customers.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience in an analytical role such as business intelligence, data analytics, or statistics.
- Experience working with database technologies (e.g., SQL, NoSQL).
- Experience with cloud technologies such as architecting, developing, or maintaining cloud solutions in virtualized environments or cloud data engineering.
- Experience using Machine Learning and building solutions.
- Experience working with systems (e.g., Linux, Unix).

The News Publisher Ecosystem team empowers and supports publishers in the News and Search ecosystems. We enable publishers to bring their content to billions of users of our products including Google News, News Showcase, and News in Search while also providing technical and operational solutions for newsroom tooling and subscription solutions. We influence product strategy and roadmaps, develop scalable operations and tools, help onboard partners, pilot product launches, manage partner-facing services and offer high-touch support for strategic news publishers.
In this role, you'll be responsible for the technical relationship of our largest news partners. You will collaborate with teams to leverage technologies for internal or external clients/partners. From concept design and testing to data analysis and support, you'll oversee the technical execution and business operations of Google's News partnerships.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $123,000-$176,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.

Responsibilities
- Work closely with our News Product, Engineering, and Partnership teams to develop solutions and provide consulting services to our news publishers to cater to client needs and build lasting relationships.
- Help news publishers in their day-to-day challenges by being the subject matter expert, delivering innovative and scalable solutions and troubleshooting their technical issues.
- Propose, design, create, and present prototypes, demos and proofs-of-concept to a wide variety of audiences, from engineers to marketing professionals.
- Perform implementation reviews. Advocate for new product features, and provide partner feedback to internal cross-functional teams including Product Management and Engineering.
- Deliver Business Intelligence. Leverage internal and external data sources to provide data insights to drive decision making.
