Power Systems Engineer

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience in power conversion and conditioning using technologies.
  • 4 years of experience designing power distribution for data centers/other facilities.
  • Experience in Mechanical, Electric and Plumbing (MEP) .

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Experience with data center design, development and testing.
  • Familiarity with electrical distribution, energy storage, and electrical generation technologies, including fuel cells and other microgrid resources.
  • Familiarity with high voltage, medium voltage, and low voltage systems.
  • Knowledge in NEC (National electrical code) with the understanding of building codes.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $144,000-$211,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.

Responsibilities

  • Work with executive team members on creating future data center architecture concepts.
  • Investigate renewable power generation, storage technologies and find best ways to implement them.
  • Create and maintain a plan of record electrical single line and layouts that will help quick implementation in the field.
  • Develop products which will form the design template for Google Data Centers.
  • Implement solutions that lead to fast, cost effective construction.
