Forecast Strategy Manager, Google Cloud

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Economics, Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8 years of experience in management consulting, sales operations, business strategy, investment banking, venture capital, private equity, or corporate advisory, or 6 years of experience with an advanced degree.
  • Experience building and maintaining relationships with stakeholders, including executive leadership.
  • Ability to communicate in English fluently as this is a role that requires communication with US and Canada based partners.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Business Administration or a related technical field.
  • Experience as a subject matter expert on compensation plans in the tech industry or cloud.
  • Experience orchestrating across a diverse set of stakeholders and project managing complex work streams through to completion.
  • Experience with large data sets, synthesizing insights and recommending actions from data.
  • Ability to prioritize deliverables and make appropriate trade-offs when determining an action plan.
  • Excellent business acumen, strategic thinking, and communication skills.

About the job

You will operate as a key stakeholder in the Google Cloud Forecast Operations organization. Our team partners with teams such as product, business functions, strategy & operations, engineering and other cross-functional partners to develop systems, tools, and processes to support the critical global forecast process.

In this role, you will work directly with representatives from Planning, Finance, Business Intelligence, Google Cloud executives and leaders to be their advocate, run workshops with the leaders to understand the business requirements and map out user journeys and pain points for the future of forecasting at companies. You will be responsible for creating a high level strategy and execution plan and share with the broader Business and Engineering teams to align resources and outcomes.

You would be required to, on a periodic basis, report back to the executive and leadership team the status of these work-streams. You will use your excellent business acumen to leverage a deep understanding of processes to guide decision-making, solve problems, and provide analytical insight and business judgment to support strategic and tactical initiatives.

This role will report into the Global Head of Forecast Operations and will engage regularly with both sellers and cross-functional subject matter experts.

Responsibilities

  • Process, plan, and facilitate workshops, with sales team executives and executive leaders/managers to gather business requirements and inform current future state plans.
  • Work with partner teams and subject matter experts to understand pain points and productivity blockers to document, build out key user journeys and high level business requirements.
  • Engage with business systems transformation and engineering project managers to ensure projects and deliverables stay on track and follow the business systems transformation operating framework.
  • Work with the Change Management team to ensure that the changes land well in the regions and track success metrics on a periodic basis.
  • Create a change impact assessment that addresses systems, process, and job role impact.
