Technical Program Manager, Manufacturing Test Development

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Design, or Manufacturing or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2 years of experience in program or technical project management.
  • 2 years of experience in NPI and manufacturing.
  • Experience in managing suppliers and partners in implementing test requirements.

Preferred qualifications:

  • MBA or Master's degree in Engineering.
  • PMP certification.
  • 5 years of experience in program management along with excellent communication skills.
  • Experience in hardware and software test development/automation. Experience in implementing or leading projects resulting in improvement of test or manufacturing operations in the area of quality, cost, speed.
  • Experience within hardware and test technologies including high complex optical test and manufacturing.
  • Experience in executive level communications and presentations along with excellent problem-solving, leadership, creativity and quantitative reasoning skills.

As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you’ll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You’ll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers.

As a Test Technical Program Manager in Cloud Supply Chain & Operations (CSCO), you will drive manufacturing test processes, tools and procedures behind the products powering Google’s Data Centers. When vendors build parts for our infrastructure, you are right there alongside ensuring manufacturing test processes are repeatable and controlled. You collaborate with Design Engineering to determine Google’s infrastructure needs and product specifications. You will ensure that the various pieces of Google’s infrastructure fit together and keep our systems operate along for excellent user experience.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate manufacturing test development activities and dependencies across internal teams and external partners. Key responsible products: Data Center Machine Learning and GPU based products.
  • Manage procurement, budget, schedule, and risk management for manufacturing test development projects and alignment with NPI program schedules. Lead manufacturing test development teams through planning, development and deployment of test solutions to support volume manufacturing.
  • Drive communication with internal stakeholders and Contract Manufacturer (CM)/Joint Development Manufacturer (JDM) partners for test development status via reviews and dashboards, work with design engineering teams to manage dependencies for test development.
  • Maintain and co-author technical documentation used for product test plans and test processes. Lead and drive cross-functional, cross-vertical initiative(s) to drive test process standardization, optimization, or transformation.
