Understanding where users are in the world is a critical core service that helps Geo build an accurate and rich model of the world and how people move within it. We’re looking for a technical, platform focused engineering leader to take the Semantic User Location platform to the next-level to respond to dynamic needs of the next generation of users, competitive landscape, and next-level growth of our products.

As the Senior Director Engineering you will unify our Geo Makers engineering teams to drive our focus on growth of our Core GMP business of APIs/SDKs, including growing the momentum of reach and engagement and business value, while also investing in new products.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $349,000-$485,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of engineers and prosumer users in Google Maps Platform, Google Earth, and our Analytics products on BigQuery.
  • Develop the strategy and drive execution for business-critical efforts requiring strong partnership across teams (Geo Consumer, Auto, RWM, RWJ, Ads, GR, GDM, Cloud and Cloud Public Sector) and functions (Legal, Privacy).
  • Lead the design of GenAI-forward solutions (products and tools Google builds to interact with our products) based on a nuanced understanding of the privacy and regulatory landscape.
  • Inspire and grow a team of engineering leaders to collaborate as “one team.”
