Google User Experience (UX) is made up of multi-disciplinary teams of UX Designers, Researchers, Writers, Content Strategists, Program Managers, and Engineers. As a UX Design Manager for Gen AI Creation at YouTube, you will be instrumental in shaping the future of Gen AI capabilities for YouTube mobile creators (i.e. YouTube Shorts and Create). You will be involved in close collaboration with UX, Product Management, Engineering, and Technical Program Management leads across both YouTube and Google DeepMind, with the ultimate goal of establishing YouTube as a premier platform for creation.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $224,000-$315,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Leverage a shared understanding of both creator user needs and Gen AI technology to develop and lead UX strategies that bring the power of Gen AI to YouTube creators.
  • Manage and mentor a team of UX designers and UX engineers, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team culture.
  • Serve as a thought leader, proactively advocating a persuasive user experience point of view to influence stakeholders across the organization.
  • Oversee the entire UX design process from ideation to implementation, ensuring high-quality, delightful user experiences and continuous improvements based on testing and feedback.
  • Take calculated risks and grow in a dynamic, high-visibility environment.
