Product Engineer, Servers and Storage Systems

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience in manufacturing.
  • Experience with electrical devices, fabrication processes, Test, Design for Manufacturing, Quality, reliability.
  • Experience in working with Original Device Manufacturers (ODM), agreement manufacturers and suppliers to drive root cause analysis, actions and process improvements.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience with developing supply chains for new server and storage type products for the IT industry.
  • Experience with data analytics and quality data systems.
  • Experience with Design Validation Test Plan on a electronic assembly.

Responsibilities

  • Lead Design for Manufacturing (DFx) efforts across teams to ensure server/storage designs, process, test, and quality standards are optimized for production.
  • Lead and guide Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to ensure the product meets our specifications.
  • Ensure manufacturing sites are prepared for product builds ahead of time. Provide on-site support and lead defect correction efforts post build.
  • Work with the Product Quality Engineer to establish product quality and reliability goals. Validate product qualification plans, support product qualification testing and review product qualification test results to ensure product performance meets requirements.
  • Coordinate release of New Product Introduction (NPI) Bill of Materials (BOMs) into Product Data Management (PDM) system. Perform technical review of product changes and assess impact on supply chain.
