Financial Analyst, Global Pixel Sales Finance

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Statistics, or another quantitative field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 4 years of experience in Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A), consulting, or a related function, or an advanced degree.
  • 2 years of SQL experience.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Proven financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting experience within the consumer product space.
  • Exceptional communication and people skills, comfort, and experience with regularly presenting to senior management.
  • Organized, strategically focused, detail oriented, motivated, and ability to work with ambiguity in a constantly evolving environment.
  • Great leadership and people skills, and ability to take charge, set objectives, drive results while building long-term relationships across organizational boundaries with all levels of seniority.
  • Good business judgment, strong conviction and confidence to communicate and influence effectively with business partners.

Financial Analysts ensure that Google makes sound financial decisions. As a Financial Analyst, your work, whether it's modeling business scenarios or tracking performance metrics, is used by our leaders to make strategic company decisions. While working on multiple projects at a time, you are focused on the details while finding creative ways to solve big picture challenges.

We are seeking a highly motivated and analytical Financial Analyst to join our Sales Finance team, supporting the Global Pixel Phones business. In this role, you will play a key part in driving forecasting, analysis, and decision-making for one of Google's key hardware product areas. You will collaborate closely with in-region finance teams across the globe to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, forecasting, and analysis. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain valuable insights into the consumer electronics industry and contribute to the growth of a dynamic and innovative product line.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $113,000-$162,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Support the monthly and quarterly close processes, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial results for the Global Pixel Phones business.
  • Collaborate with in-region finance teams to develop and maintain forecasts for the Pixel Phones business.
  • Conduct financial analysis to assess the potential impact of promotional and strategic initiatives. Provide data-driven insights to support strategic decision-making, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives.
  • Support the annual budgeting process, providing detailed analysis and recommendations for resource optimization. Prepare presentations and reports for senior management, summarizing financial performance and key business insights.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline and automate financial processes, improving efficiency and accuracy. Develop and implement tools and dashboards to enhance financial reporting and analysis.
