AI Application Engineer, Marketing Technology and Engineering

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or other technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 4 years of experience in application software development.
  • 1 year of experience architecting and implementing full-stack enterprise applications.
  • Experience developing enterprise-grade back-end code in Python.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Computer Science, MIS or related technical field or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience engaging with non-technical stakeholders, facilitating requirements discussions, providing technical guidance, navigating ambiguity, and driving cross-functional alignment within a large organization.
  • Experience with implementing front-end technologies and frameworks, including HTML/CSS, Javascript/Typescript, Angular, and Material Design.
  • Experience architecting back-end infrastructure utilizing Google Cloud, Vertex AI, and Google AI models (e.g., Gemini, Imagen).
  • Passion for emerging technology including AI, attention to detail and a drive to build the best systems possible.

The Marketing Technology and Engineering mission is to transform Marketing through the power of technology and AI – enabling marketers to drive campaigns that connect users with the magic of our products. We achieve this mission by working across product areas to address marketer pain points, enable technical solutions, and deliver secure, privacy-first, and AI-powered marketing platforms in partnership with our cross-functional stakeholders. In this role, you will be tasked with transforming the way we execute marketing campaigns by designing, building, integrating, testing, deploying, and maintaining first-party and third-party, AI-powered web applications. You will collaborate with marketers to identify their pain points, align on requirements, and implement AI-powered, first-party and third-party solutions to address these pain points.

You will be user-centric, with the ability to consolidate requirements and feedback, while representing the marketer in technical decisions. You will distill requirements into a strategy, roadmap, and technical solution that drives measurable business results. You can communicate technical concepts in a clear and effective manner with non-technical audiences. You will be deeply technical, including participating in the architecture of high-performing solutions, writing code, designing and implementing data storage solutions, integrating platforms, and enabling full-stack, AI-powered applications.

Responsibilities

  • Write clear, modular, well-structured, and self-sustaining codes, and develop overall systems design, research, and evaluate vendor supplied applications, and develop recommendations on those applications.
  • Build internal solutions, with custom front-end and back-end services with minimal assistance, and identify processes and solutions to ensure controls compliance can be enforced and monitored.
  • Help design, build, and deploy AI-powered applications using Google Cloud, integrate third-party technology, test solutions, and deploy applications.
  • Own the due-diligence launch approvals for AI-powered marketing technology solutions, including collaboration with Security, Finance, Legal, and Risk and Compliance stakeholders.
