Product Manager, Platform Safety

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience in product management or related technical role.
  • 2 years of experience in taking technical products from conception to launch.
  • Experience as a product manager to drive product goals and roadmaps in areas of network and cellular security.
  • Experience in Android, Mobile, Privacy, Networking, Cellular Protocol Stack, Partner Management.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master’s degree or PhD in a technology or business related field.
  • 6 years of experience in a Product Management role, driving product goals, go-to-market strategy, and design discussions.
  • Experience in developing/launching products/technologies within security, privacy, or related area.
  • Experience in creating product roadmaps, and working with cross-functional teams.

Our team works closely with creative engineers, designers, marketers, etc. to help design and develop technologies that improve access to the world's information. We're responsible for guiding products throughout the execution cycle, focusing specifically on analyzing, positioning, packaging, promoting, and tailoring our solutions to our users.

In this role, you will work on areas like hardware security, malware detection and prevention and anti-fraud and theft prevention. You will be collaborative with the ability to work across teams within Android as well as with external partners.

Responsibilities

  • Build a product roadmap from market trends, user and partner needs, technology and google/android initiatives.
  • Create quality Product Requirements Document (PRDs), work with engineering on execution.
  • Work across the Android organization to ensure that security experiences carry across different parts of Android.
  • Work with Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) partners on device integration of security features.
