Strategy and Operations Senior Associate, Global Partnerships

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 4 years of experience in management consulting, sales operations, business strategy, investment banking, venture capital, private equity or corporate advisory, or 2 years of experience with an advanced degree.

Preferred qualifications:

  • MBA or Master's degree.
  • Experience managing and delivering project components with limited guidance.
  • Ability to identify and solve problems within a given project scope.
  • Ability to build relationships, influence stakeholders, distill insights from complex data, and present actionable recommendations.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication and collaboration skills.

Global Partnerships' Central Business Operations and Strategy team (GP BizOps) is a central strategy group that works across all areas of Global Partnerships. We partner directly with the Global Partnerships Leadership team to find solutions to problems. We drive strategy initiatives that cut across Global Partnerships and cross-Google to help advance decision-making at the leadership level, and drive operational excellence through leadership forums, annual planning, resource allocation, and more.

In this role, you will work directly with the GP Leadership team on high priority topics that cross-cut the organization. You will lead strategic projects or initiatives, and provide clear, high-impact deliverables that influence leadership and help evolve our Partnerships strategy and organization. You will turn insights/recommendations into action by working closely with front line teams and with key cross-functional leaders (e.g., Finance, Communications, People Operations, Legal, gTech, etc.). You will learn how Partnerships contribute to Google’s business and strategic goals, and understand the internal and external drivers that impact our business.

The Global Partnerships organization is responsible for exploring new opportunities with Google's partners. Google’s Global Partnerships team works with a wide range of partners to bring the best of Google to power their business. The Global Partnerships team supports Google’s own Product teams with essential partnerships to help Google’s user experiences in advertising, Search, Assistant, Maps, Travel, Shopping, Payments and more. Teams create product-enabling partnerships, go-to-market strategies and incubate business growth for a variety of products.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $118,000-$170,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Drive cross-functional projects with ownership of select initiatives, partnering with stakeholders across multiple Google product areas to achieve business and partnership goals.
  • Provide critical analysis and data-driven recommendations to executive leaders on high-priority topics, such as partnership and go-to-market strategies, identifying opportunities for growth and resolving operational inefficiencies.
  • Provide strategy and operations support to executive leaders in the Global Partnerships organization (e.g., Directors and Vice Presidents), developing clear, simple, and persuasive communications to influence decision-making.
  • Solve problems with multiple potential solutions, applying a wide range of tools and approaches to develop optimal outcomes. Demonstrate the ability to resolve ambiguous situations with clear insights and actionable recommendations.
  • Develop and demonstrate working knowledge of market, product, organizational, and cross-functional nuances, leveraging this expertise to contribute to strategic initiatives and recommend improvements.
