Strategy and Operations Lead, Global Partnerships Business Operations

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 6 years of experience in management consulting, sales operations, business strategy, investment banking, venture capital, private equity, Chief of Staff or corporate advisory, or 4 years of experience with an advanced degree.
  • Experience in Program Management.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience leading and executing complex strategic and operational initiatives for large organizations.
  • Experience operating effectively in a matrixed organization.
  • Ability to manage a dynamic and evolving portfolio of strategic projects and initiatives.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, and people management skills, with executive-level communications involving sensitive or regulatory information.
  • Passion for technology, often demonstrated through tech/media/telecom company experience.

The Business Strategy & Operations organization provides business critical insights using analytics, ensures cross functional alignment of goals and execution, and helps teams drive strategic partnerships and new initiatives forward. We stay focused on aligning the highest-level company priorities with effective day-to-day operations, and help evolve early stage ideas into future-growth initiatives.

Global Partnerships powers extraordinary user experiences through meaningful partnerships. We build relationships that solve users’ needs, advance our partners’ goals, and further Google's mission. Our team provides solutions for a broad range of partners, from helping publishers and developers grow their businesses through business solutions, to helping our long-term partners anticipate and navigate change in a way that delivers value. We ensure a coordinated approach when engaging with our most complex and strategic partners.

In this role, you will work directly with Leadership on high priority topics across the organization. You will lead strategic projects, and provide clear, high-impact deliverables that influence leadership and help evolve our Partnerships strategy and organization. You will turn insights/recommendations into action by working with front-line teams and with key cross-functional leaders (Finance, Communications, POps, Legal, gTech, etc.). You will learn how Partnerships contribute to Google’s business and strategic goals, and understand the internal/external drivers that impact our business.

The Global Partnerships organization is responsible for exploring new opportunities with Google's partners. Google’s Global Partnerships team works with a wide range of partners to bring the best of Google to power their business. The Global Partnerships team supports Google’s own Product teams with essential partnerships to help Google’s user experiences in advertising, Search, Assistant, Maps, Travel, Shopping, Payments and more. Teams create product-enabling partnerships, go-to-market strategies and incubate business growth for a variety of products.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $147,000-$216,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.

Responsibilities

  • Manage core operational processes for Global Partnerships Team (e.g., OKR setting/reporting, organization health, etc.) and identify opportunities to streamline operational processes.
  • Manage an evolving portfolio of strategic projects and initiatives that advance the Global Partnerships organization and enable its core objectives.
  • Partner with leadership in Global Partnerships to develop strategic perspectives on critical partnership topics, drive analyses, and make recommendations on priorities and escalations.
  • Create clear, simple and persuasive internal communications, from influencing executive stakeholders to communicating priorities and driving a business cadence at scale with the team.
  • Recommend, develop, and launch complex initiatives including driving GTM activation/adoption throughout the entire Global Partnerships organization.
