Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelors degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 10 years of experience in business development and partnerships including executive partner management, structuring and partnering agreements and managing partners.
- Experience in the telecommunication, media and technology sector.
- Ability to communicate in Japanese and English fluently to support client relationship management.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience of the telecommunication, music and video streaming ecosystem in Japan.
- Experience in presenting to executive leadership internally and externally.
- Ability to work in a changing environment.
- Excellent people and communication skills to formulate and present technical, financial, and business points to the partners and internal teams.
About the job
In this role, you will be responsible for managing partners for YouTube (YT) in Japan, building relationships, identifying partnerships and growth opportunities and negotiating/executing agreements with partners. You will need to have an understanding of the streaming ecosystem that includes Ad-supported Video on Demand (AVOD) and Subscription-supported video on demand (SVOD) services, devices and telcos and the engaging landscape. You will work with internal cross-functional business and partnership teams in Japan and with Global YouTube Product Partnerships (YTPP) counterparts and represent the YT Japan perspective in internal forums.At YouTube, we believe that everyone deserves to have a voice, and that the world is a better place when we listen, share, and build community through our stories. - Manage partners for YT in Japan and maintain relationships with key partner stakeholders.
- Evaluate new partnerships opportunities for YT and manage negotiations with partners.
- Execute and track performance of agreement that support YT business objectives in coordination with cross-functional teams.
- Build an understanding of the Streaming, Telecommunication (Telco) and device ecosystem in Japan and keep Asia-pacific (APAC) and Global YT leadership updated on market trends.
- Build internal relationships with Google Business and Partnerships and Product teams and support YT and Google initiatives.
