Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience in Supply chain program or project management.
  • Experience managing New Product Introduction (NPI) supply chain with consumer electronic products (i.e., phones, tablets, computers, watches, etc.).

Preferred qualifications:

  • 5 years of experience in new product introduction program management, sourcing/supplier management, materials program management, operations program management role, or leadership role.
  • Experience leading complex operational and strategic programs with proven ability to multitask, analyze opportunities, define successful approaches, and proactively solve problems.
  • Ability to build strong relationships, work effectively cross-functionally, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and lead cross-functionally.
  • Excellent communication skills, and ability to communicate effectively with multiple levels including engineering and operations leadership teams, peers, managers, and junior staff.
  • Ability to travel around 20% internationally.

As the Supply Chain Program Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring supply chain readiness for multiple programs with specific attention to: cost optimization, multi-sourcing and material readiness and availability for new product prototype builds and mass production ramp-ups. You will work closely with Product Development, Commodity Sourcing, Manufacturing, and Planning teams to fully understand demand and supply needs and balance those against operational goals. You'll understand the details of manufacturing processes, translate those into proper supply plans, and execute successfully against those plans.

The team works on shaping the future of Pixel devices and services through some of the most advanced designs, techniques, products, and experiences in consumer electronics. This includes bringing together the best of Google’s artificial intelligence, software, and hardware to build global smartphones and create transformative experiences for users across the world.

Responsibilities

  • Be the supply chain conduit between engineering, operation, and Asia supply chain partners to assure material deliveries at factories are on-time in the right quantity.
  • Perform regular supply versus demand analysis for critical materials to identify potential supply risks and inventory exposures by aligning supply chain processes with product development project plan milestones and the mass production ramp-up plan.
  • Drive and own BOM within a given program. Pursue cost optimization activities throughout the product development cycle.
  • Provide frequent written and verbal executive status updates on material, cost, and readiness status. 
  • Work fluidly in a cross-functional team environment involving Manufacturing and Product Development teams.
