  • Experience managing semiconductor suppliers (foundry, OSAT, and ASIC houses).
  • Experience working with testing tooling suppliers and testing equipment vendors.
  • Experience with semiconductor product development cycles, including silicon bring-up methodology and production ramp.
  • Experience with customer-owned tooling models and chip cost models.

As a Program Manager at Google, you’ll lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish — working with stakeholders to plan requirements, manage project schedules, identify risks, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. Your projects will often span offices, time zones, and hemispheres. It's your job to coordinate the players and keep them up to date on progress and deadlines.

The Custom Silicon Sourcing team plays a crucial role in the development of Pixel products. We are responsible for sourcing custom chips and managing relationships with foundries, outsourced semiconductor assembly and tests (OSATs), and ASIC vendors. Our goal is to ensure the successful and timely delivery of committed SoC and chip components.

The Platforms and Devices team encompasses Google's various computing software platforms across environments (desktop, mobile, applications), as well as our first party devices and services that combine the best of Google AI, software, and hardware. Teams across this area research, design, and develop new technologies to make our user's interaction with computing faster and more seamless, building innovative experiences for our users around the world.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $126,000-$181,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Execute comprehensive market research to identify emerging suppliers and maintain a database of approved vendors, actively tracking performance metrics and capabilities.
  • Evaluate supplier proposals and quotes through quantitative and qualitative modeling to provide data-driven recommendations for executive leadership selection.
  • Analyze internal spend patterns and historical data to uncover cost-reduction opportunities, volume consolidation potential, and variance against budget.
  • Manage the end-to-end vendor onboarding lifecycle, ensuring accurate setup within enterprise resource planning (ERP)/payment systems and establishing seamless communication protocols.
  • Determine and collect data required to execute and govern programs effectively. Maintain project trackers and status reports. Identify and execute on program tasks including proactively managing dependencies.
