Remote location: Sweden.
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial, Construction Engineering, Construction Management or related technical field.
- 5 years of experience in project and construction management.
- Experience with commercial contract management and procurement.
- Experience managing vendor relationships, and standard practices in the design and construction industry.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience managing large-scale construction projects or technical programs within an international working environment.
- Experience working with (data center) equipment/environments (including switchgear, generators, chillers, cooling towers, air handling units, controls, security monitoring systems, fire safety systems), with an understanding of start up/commissioning processes.
- Knowledge of large-scale facility electrical and mechanical systems.
- Ability to build excellent relationships and deliver on action-orientated tasks.

As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you’ll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You’ll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers.The Data center Delivery and Engineering (DCDE) team is a collection of Civils, Structure, Architecture (CSA) and Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing (MEP) design experts, mechanical and electrical field engineers, construction project managers, water/air experts, commissioning experts, data center services managers, and cost and project controls managers who design, schedule, construct, commission and close out the most efficient data centers in the world, at a fast pace, safely and in a scalable manner to match the business requirements.
In this role, you will be responsible for safe and successful delivery of data center projects within a sub-region. You will administer and coordinate construction contracts, serving as primary contact between Google, the Panel Management Company and Specialist Contractors, coordinate and oversee extended workforce. Their focus is to protect Google's interests by developing an understanding of the project delivery details and using their experience in the construction space and knowledge of the specific project, elevating the performance of other project stakeholders through active management.
Responsibilities
- Manage a large, site-wide data center construction and delivery organization, managing scopes related to construction projects or capital improvement projects.
- Be responsible for ensuring the development of detailed designs, managing construction (delivery, cost, quality and EHS), commissioning, close-out and hand-off to the operations team. Ensure all customer requirements are being met.
- Establish and maintain various delivery models and global relationships with multiple vendors.
- Create a growth plan and be involved in hiring/recruiting of talent in the areas of project management, field engineering, document control, technical writing, etc.
- Research and implement construction means and methods of data center equipment and facilities. Carry design concepts into mass production and integrate into facilities.
