As the Greenhouse Gas Standards Reform Lead, you will lead efforts to reform and improve GHG and Net Zero standards and protocols in support of Google’s business interests and improving the broader ecosystem. In this role, you will be responsible for strategic and programmatic execution, including monitoring key standards bodies, developing technical guidance and criteria, driving internal alignment on Google views, and engagement with technical standards bodies.

In this role, you will lead a small team that drives coordination across key internal and external stakeholders to identify areas to develop and/or evolve GHG emissions, environmental market initiatives, and climate related frameworks and standards. Additionally, you will challenge the status quo and drive progressive action on standards reform across key GHG emissions and corporate Net Zero frameworks such as the GHG Protocol, CDP, SBTI, and similar.

The team works cross-functionally across our global operations and hardware supply chains to develop and scale new solutions on energy and carbon. It also leads efforts to create the external market environments necessary to drive decarbonization in a way that facilitates these goals and enables others to do so as well.
