Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2 years of experience in program management.
  • Experience using SQL and building data visualization (e.g. dashboards).
  • Experience with software development and consumer facing platforms (i.e. video platforms, web applications, music distribution platforms, podcast platforms, etc).

Preferred qualifications:

  • 2 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.
  • Experience in building and working within media content platforms, including (but not limited to) TV, Movie, and Music distribution platforms.
  • Experience in building and working within data platforms, including (but not limited to) viewership data and ratings agencies, such as Nielsen and Billboard.
  • Experience in self-initiative, leadership roles, breakthrough thinking, and leading and influencing in dynamic environments.
  • Excellent organizational, negotiation, multi-tasking, project management, and prioritization skills, with the ability to manage multiple time-sensitive projects in a rapidly changing environment.

As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you’ll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers.

The YouTube Ops Technical Program Management team provides centralized program management capabilities for the entire YouTube Ops portfolio of work in order to drive prioritization, mature and transform operational workflows, ensure operational readiness for product launches and growth, and implement cost-savings initiatives. We do this using domain expertise of YouTube’s products and operations.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $132,000-$189,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Identify enterprise-wide opportunities to innovate YouTube Operation’s technical platforms and infrastructure in order to support a team of hundreds of engineers.
  • Set and meet launch and quality milestones for programs.
  • Coordinate upcoming features to launch on-time with cross-functional internal partners.
  • Evaluate progress and communicate program status, risks, and next steps to internal stakeholder teams and executive sponsors.
  • Establish, scale, and improve processes, tools and documentation to ensure cross-functional collaboration and to meet growing or changing needs. Assess gaps, pinpoint inefficiencies, and drive process optimization.
