Program Manager, Google Cloud Business Platforms

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience in program management.
  • Experience managing programs and processes across distributed systems.

Preferred qualifications:

  • 5 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.
  • Experience problem-solving across distributed, fast-paced and constantly changing environments.
  • Experience communicating technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Experience with managing hosted services/SaaS.
  • Experience implementing, troubleshooting, and supporting Internet-based applications, web servers, data storage, commerce engines, and Linux/Unix operating systems.
  • Ability to analyze and trace product behavior back to the responsible code.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with Product Management and Engineering teams to advocate for customers with a data-driven approach. Break down customer issues into meaningful areas for innovation in the overall product.
  • Engage with Software Engineering, Product Management and Site Reliability Engineering teams to manage production incidents in real time.
  • Recognize trends in customer feedback, and escalate product problems and operational issues within Google.
  • Work with Sales, Partner, and Finance Operations teams to track and further develop operational program performance.
  • Lead several technical programs for the Google Cloud Business, setting priorities for products and engineering, leading teams to ensure products and features land successfully. Insuring support success metrics are informing future efforts, and quickly fine tuning the program as needed.
