Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience in program or project management.
  • Experience with Supply or Demand Planning.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering or equivalent practical experience in relevant industry.
  • 5 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.
  • Experience with Material Requirements Planning (MRP), Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), and Product Life-cycle Management (PLM) systems and tools.
  • Ability to create and maneuver within spreadsheets/databases to model and manage supply chain processes.
  • Ability to communicate/collaborate cross-functionally with technical and non-technical groups spanning all organizational levels.

As a Program Manager at Google, you’ll lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish — working with stakeholders to plan requirements, manage project schedules, identify risks, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. Your projects will often span offices, time zones, and hemispheres. It's your job to coordinate the players and keep them up to date on progress and deadlines.

The Equipment Demand and Supply Planning team is the driving channel behind Google Cloud's infrastructure expansion. This team ensures the timely delivery of critical data center equipment to meet the ever-growing demand for Google Cloud capacity.

As a Program Manager, you will be responsible for the data center equipment planning for new and sustaining products, interpretation of data center demand signals and translation of that signal into requirements. You will work with the Data Center Planning, Engineering, Product Life-cycle Management, Commodity Management, and Contract Manufacturing teams to reflect accurate material requirements for Google’s build development plan. You will establish and drive metrics, processes, and system improvements, and influence rapidly growing data center infrastructure.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $147,000-$216,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Manage material supply, including inventory, to meet existing and new product demand requirements to meet business objectives, coordinating with Demand Planning on changes to demand which impacts delivery of key components as demand needs fluctuate.
  • Identify and solve supply chain gaps and inefficiencies. Clearly document process solutions and requirements. Define and manage clear business metrics and goals to manage supply chain performance.
  • Leverage Market intelligence and Statistical inputs towards driving continued, sustained improvements of inventory models and supply chain buffers.
  • Develop short and long-term supply models to minimize total costs and inventories while maintaining service levels, develop and justify inventory buffer strategies that optimize cost and flexibility.
  • Initiate communication of sustaining and new product material plans and status to internal customers.
