YouTube Product Partnerships Manager

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 7 years of experience in business development and partnerships within the Ads, Technology, or E-commerce industries.
  • 7 years of experience in business negotiations, including leading partnerships involving platform integrations, data licensing or distribution.
  • Experience working with C-level executives and cross-functionally across all levels of management.
  • Experience managing agreements or partnerships.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience with the creator economy, brand agreements, and ad agency industries.
  • Knowledge of app developer ecosystems and APIs.
  • Knowledge of YouTube’s and Google’s products and the industries they operate within.
  • Excellent problem-solving and business strategy skills, including an entrepreneurial and creative approach.
  • Excellent project management skills, juggling multiple projects and adhering to tight deadlines.
  • Excellent investigative skills, including the ability to tailor data and information to different audiences.

About the job

The YouTube Product Partnerships team drives partner strategy and manages the key relationships that help to make YouTube’s products more accessible and useful. We own the business side of new products and initiatives, and our strategic partnerships seek to build, distribute, grow, and protect YouTube’s products globally. We know how to assess partnership opportunities in any situation, define a strategy, and work closely within our team, and with Product, Marketing, and other cross-functional stakeholders to drive critical partnerships that help evolve our business.

The Developer and Creation team builds and maintains strategic partnerships with some of YouTube's key partners to ensure YouTube is readily available across all platforms. The team's primary focus is meeting users where they are, keeping YouTube at the center, and encouraging/managing YT content creation.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $141,000-$206,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Understand both YouTube and partner's business, identify opportunities for value exchange, negotiate complex product partnerships or programs (including working with Product/Engineering/Legal to identify key agreement terms and then lead negotiations, agreement launch, tracking and reporting post-launch).
  • Lead amidst cross-functional, organizational and industry complexity, with an ability to bring open issues to resolution.
  • Identify, analyze, and scope new opportunities, present recommendations to stakeholders, drive ideas to execution.
  • Manage projects and tight timelines in coordination with both internal and external stakeholders, ensuring seamless day-to-day execution.
  • Present key findings to stakeholders across levels, teams and Product Areas (PAs), communicating partnership performance, quantifying results, and identifying opportunities to drive incremental impact.
