Technical Program Manager, Feedback

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 3 years of experience in managing projects.
  • Experience in Program Management on technical cross-functional projects.
  • Experience in building, automating, and developing distributed systems.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business, or a related field.
  • 3 years of experience in managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.
  • Experience in managing execution of programs with multiple engineering teams through the software project lifecycle (e.g., build, test and release).
  • Experience with technologies like virtualization and software infrastructure systems, compute, storage, data migration, capacity, load balancing, and software defined networking.
  • Ability to collaborate with a team composed of technical and non-technical members with managing third-party vendors.

About the job

The Feedback team sits within gUP Engineering, and is responsible for the customer-facing portion of the Feedback ecosystem. Feedback is a external and internal facing product with a infrastructure This team is responsible for Aloha, Listnr, HaTS, and the Feedback UI frameworks, collecting the data required for our product teams to be informed and make the best decisions for their future strategy, and provide a voice to our customers.In gTech Users and Products (gUP), our mission is to advocate for Google’s users by creating helpful and trusted experiences across the product ecosystem. We achieve this by meeting partners and consumers where they are with support and help, representing their needs with our product partners and proposing fixes and features that elevate their engagement with Google's diverse product ecosystem. Additionally we provide a range of product services that ensure our products are optimized for every user, no matter where they are in the world (e.g., localization, digitization, partner integration and more).

Responsibilities

  • Manage technology programs, defining milestones and success criteria, resource allocation and successful on-time delivery.
  • Work on distributed systems, storage solutions, applications and new platforms.
  • Exercise technical judgment in working with cross-functional teams.
  • Develop tools and processes to improve software engineering productivity.
  • Communicate schedules, priorities, and status to all levels in the company.
