Analytical Consultant (Fixed Term Contract) (English)

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience in media analytics, advertising business, digital media and marketing, consulting, or financial analysis.
  • Experience in data analysis and visualization (e.g., spreadsheets and slides), scripting (e.g., SQL) and dashboard development (e.g., Looker Studio).
  • Experience in translating data into business recommendations and delivering presentations.
  • Ability to communicate in English fluently in order to communicate in this customer-facing business role.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience working as a problem solving consultant or a related investigative, data-focused role.
  • Experience in advertising from advertisers, agency or media owner.
  • Experience with multiple stakeholder and cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to communicate in English and German fluently.

The Insights and Analytics team within Digital First empowers our customers in achieving their business and marketing objectives by providing them with data-motivated bases for decision-making. The team uses business acumen combined with investigative and storytelling skills to partner with a variety of internal and external stakeholders and support the transformation and shifts required to be successful in a changing market environment. The team leverages Google's internal search data and external market data, to uncover insights, driving informed decision-making and fostering mutual growth for our customers and Google.Our Large Customer Sales teams partner closely with many of the world’s biggest advertisers and agencies to develop digital solutions that build businesses and brands. We enjoy a bird’s eye view on the massive transformation occurring as advertising shifts to mobile and online platforms. We're uniquely situated to help shape how companies grow their businesses in the digital age. We advise clients on Google's broad range of products across search, video and mobile to help them connect instantly and seamlessly with their audiences.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct analysis for customers to uncover hidden opportunities to optimize their online advertising Return on Investment (ROI).
  • Consult with clients as a consultant, present data-motivated insights and recommendations that align with their business goals.
  • Streamline processes by developing templates, dashboards and scripts. Develop compelling narratives to deliver insights at scale for customer base.
  • Empower clients and partners by creating internal dashboards and reports to democratize insights and by delivering training and guidance on using Google's data tools and Application programming interface
    (APIs).
  • Work with diverse teams and stakeholders to drive successful outcomes for clients (e.g., measurement specialists).
