Technical Lead, Product Operations

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 12 years of experience as a technical lead or in a similar leadership role, guiding technical strategy and project execution for engineering teams.
  • 10 years of experience driving process improvement programs, implementing change across teams/organization levels and training users.
  • 10 years of experience collaborating across multiple levels of an organization.
  • 10 years of experience in supply chain.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Engineering or MBA with an emphasis in Operations Management or Supply Chain.
  • Experience in specific hardware verticals such as Accelerators, ML, Physical Infrastructure, or Networking/Optics.
  • Understanding end-to-end supply chain concepts like plan, source, make, deliver, sustain and experience applying them to technical infrastructure.
  • Ability to design and roll out reliable systems or major features, with a focus on monitoring and failure domain characterization.
  • Ability to influence without authority and navigate cross-functional organizations.
  • Excellent problem solver with verbal and written communication and facilitation skills.

As a Technical Lead (TL) within Global Hardware Quality and Reliability, you will lead our transformational technical approach and execution for New Product Introduction (NPI) and sustaining engineering efforts. You will partner closely with engineering managers and cross-functional stakeholders to enable product excellence for critical infrastructure such as Accelerators, ML, Compute, Storage, and Networking. You will serve as a bridge between software engineering and hardware design engineering, ensuring that manufacturing engineering, software tools, and the physical operations enable robust and scalable outcomes. You will be responsible for setting technical strategy, making core design choices, and mentoring team members to ensure high-quality execution.Behind everything our users see online is the architecture built by the Technical Infrastructure team to keep it running. The US base salary range for this full-time position is $208,000-$293,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Define technical roadmaps for NPI transformations, aligning with Cloud Supply Chain and Operations (CSCO) goals and advising on high-risk projects.
  • Lead global technical direction by scaling industry best practices and pioneering novel, first-of-their-kind methodologies to solve gaps in current standards.
  • Serve as the primary Global Hardware Quality and Reliability (GHQR) representative, presenting strategy, design, and product status to VP-level leadership.
  • Drive high-impact individual contributions by solving technical issues and consulting across design and manufacturing to translate reliability physics into business strategies that balance cost, risk, and speed.
  • Provide decisive leadership and ownership during internal or external technical emergencies through to full resolution.
