Minimum qualifications:
- Master's degree in a quantitative discipline such as Statistics, Engineering, Sciences, or equivalent practical experience.
- 3 years of experience working in marketing insights utilizing statistical techniques (e.g., significance testing) and systems (e.g., BigQuery), coding (e.g., Python, R, SQL), querying databases, or statistical analysis.
- Experience collaborating with multiple stakeholders with different interests.
- Experience managing research and measurement agencies.
- Ability to communicate in English fluently to enable collaboration with internal stakeholders.
Preferred qualifications:
- 4 years of experience identifying the appropriate data set, analysis and solution needed to address stakeholder concerns and questions.
- Experience with R or Python for statistical analysis and data visualization.
- Experience with digitally owned and operated, and traditional media insights (e.g., email, social, brand, performance marketing) and translating measurement outputs into marketing optimization recommendations.
- Knowledge of data mining principles, querying data sets, connecting multiple data sources, building dashboards in data visualization tools (e.g., Data Studio, Looker, Tableau), and statistical modeling techniques (e.g., regression analysis, data clustering).
- Ability to use data for storytelling for both technical and non-technical audiences.

As a Gemini Application Marketing Business Data Scientist, you will be responsible for generating actionable insights from data that enable marketers to develop valuable global and regional marketing programs for Gemini Application. You will be part of the fast-paced, dynamic Gemini Application Marketing team, which is part of the cross-functional team responsible for establishing Gemini as a leader in the generative Artificial Intelligence (AI) space.
In this role, you will serve as an engaging partner to the marketing and product teams focused on application growth, generating insights to inform valuable programs and supporting audience segmentation, campaign measurement, analysis and testing initiatives. You will analyze data sets and design and perform statistical analysis.

Responsibilities
- Conduct data analysis to spot trends and inform marketing opportunities, and build tools for ongoing data analysis and trend spotting across moments throughout the year.
- Track and quantify marketing campaign impact on business and marketing goals, while assisting in improvement of impact measurement methodologies.
- Develop, maintain, and enhance dashboards and reports (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Looker) to track key application adoption Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and communicate performance to stakeholders across Marketing, Product, and Leadership.
- Identify distinct user segments based on behavior, demographics, and acquisition sources to inform personalized marketing strategies and product development priorities and also identify usage patterns and inform campaigns on implications to maximize engagement.
- Partner with product data science to prioritize and execute quantitative analysis and advanced modeling that delivers actionable insights.
