Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, similar technical field of study, or equivalent practical experience.
- 15 years of professional engineering leadership experience managing technical projects.
Preferred qualifications:
- MBA, Master's degree, or PhD in Engineering.
- Experience executing complex strategic and operational initiatives, identifing connections, adopting different perspectives, and quickly responding to changing circumstances in a strategic way.
- Understanding of the complex relationship between the organization and its environment.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, negotiation and organizational skills.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills that drive executional impact at scale.
- Deep domain and technical expertise in applied machine learning, artificial intelligence, visual processing or natural language processing.

As a Distinguished Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing and iterating on some of the major initiatives in Workspace.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $349,000-$485,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities
- Lead major architectural initiatives aligned with the highest priorities for the organization.
- Drive strong execution to enable fast iteration and time-to-delivery to market.
- Have a keen understanding of the state-of-art solutions on related areas and be able to partner effectively with internal/external teams to bring them to Google.
- Support our technical teams in delivering our roadmap on committed timelines.
- Help with the hiring of strong technical talent and provide mentorship to technical teams across Workspace.
