Strategic Partner Development Manager, Living Room, YouTube

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 7 years of experience in business development, partnerships, management consulting, or investment banking, in the Consumer Electronics, Auto, OEMs, Telecom, E-Commerce/Retail, Apps, Ads, Gaming, or Technology industries.
  • 6 years of experience in business development, Over the Top (OTT) app distribution, the streaming video industry, and consumer electronic device partnerships.
  • Experience working with C-level executives and cross-functionally across all levels of management.

Preferred qualifications:

  • MBA or Master's degree in Computer Science or related fields.
  • Experience in a partner-facing role, with the ability to analyze and structure complex negotiations, with a track record of negotiation and execution with consumer electronic device manufacturers.
  • Experience growing in ambiguous environments with excellent communication and negotiation skills with the ability to provide insightful, data-driven strategic recommendations to leadership and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Understanding of connected TV platforms and the consumer electronics hardware industry as it relates to video streaming technologies.
  • Ability to develop customized term sheets, work with legal agreements, and present distilled agreement issues to executive management.

The YouTube Product Partnerships team drives the partner strategy and manages key relationships that help to make YouTube’s products more universally accessible and useful. We own the business side of new products and initiatives, and our strategic partnerships seek to build, distribute, grow, and protect YouTube’s products globally. We know how to assess partnership opportunities in any situation, define a strategy, and work closely within our team, and with Product, Marketing, and other cross-functional stakeholders to drive critical partnerships that help evolve our business.

YouTube's Living Room Product Partnerships team works cross-functionally with internal teams to identify, structure, and execute multi-faceted app distribution agreements, while developing relationships with some of our most mature partners to drive distribution of YouTube's services and identify partnership opportunities to aid product development that will drive incremental watchtime, daily active users and subscribers.This position requires deep understanding of the connected TV/streaming platform landscape, knowledge of product integration, thought leadership, influencing skills, research and analysis skills, flawless execution, and a passion for working in the fast-paced area of connected TV content services.

As a Strategic Partner Development Manager, you will be responsible for the direct and proactive management of our largest connected TV/streaming device partners. You know how to assess partnership opportunities, define a strategy, and work closely with stakeholders to drive partnerships that help the business evolve.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $134,000-$196,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Structure partnerships, draft terms, lead negotiations, and execute term sheets on behalf of YouTube.
  • Lead and make decisions amidst cross-functional, organizational, and industry complexity, with an ability to bring open issues to resolution.
  • Build and manage cross-functional relationships with YouTube product, engineering, and partner engineering groups to support their respective team initiatives.
  • Build detailed industry category strategy plans and account plans, organize and execute Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) with top partners, and drive YouTube presence at key industry conferences.
