Multidisciplinary Program Security Officer COMSEC, Google Public Sector

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.
  • 5 years of experience in program or project managing SCIF operations, COMSEC, NIPR/SIPR, document control/accountability, and classified AI.
  • Active TS/SCI US Government security clearance with polygraph.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience working with Intelligence Community Directives and Department of Defense (DOD) Government regulations for US Government Contractors.
  • Experience using Distributed INFOSEC Accounting System.
  • Experience ordering, receiving, loading and management of COMSEC keying material using devices such as the Simple Key Loader (SKL) and other devices as necessary.
  • Experience working with SIMS or equivalent security information management systems.
  • Experience developing SOPs in support of Industrial Security Operations to include COMSEC operations (e.g., Access Control, Badging, Encryptor Rekeying, vIPer Operations etc.).

About the job

In this role, you will report to and directly support the COMSEC Program manager and lead the tactical execution of the COMSEC program. You will act as an interface between stakeholders (internal and external) and will be responsible for the end to end, completing and reviewing documentation from the beginning to the end of the process. The MPSO will assist the Industrial Security team with management and administration of Department of Defense (DoD) and Intelligence Community (IC) facilities and contracts.

Google Public Sector’s hybrid work policy requires three days in an office and two days remote.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $130,000-$191,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Provide operational support and guidance to all shareholders involved in maintaining COMSEC compliance across the GPS enterprise.
  • Ensure quality program delivery by managing, coordinating, and executing all COMSEC program requirements for multiple large-scale classified networks, following proper Industrial Security procedures in accordance with 32 CFR Part 117 (NISPOM), Intelligence Community Directives, GPS customers, and Google Public Sector policies.
  • Administer policies and procedures for handling and safeguarding government classified information.
  • Assist with the planning, development and implementation of effective Information Security (INFOSEC), Communications Security (COMSEC), and Operational Security (OPSEC) policies and procedures.
  • Manage cleared employee/contract tracking systems (SIMS).
