Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting or Finance, or equivalent practical experience.
- 4 years of experience in accounting or a related function, or 1 year with an advanced degree in accounting, business, or finance.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience managing programs/launches, designing and implementing processes/controls, legal interest/knowledge.
- Ability to work in a cross-functional, fast-paced environment, and to drive complex operational initiatives.
- Ability to surface and resolve conflicts.
- Ability to be innovative, organized, thorough, and detail-oriented with excellent quantitative, written, editorial, and presentation skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with business partners with excellent business judgment and conviction skills.
- Excellent communication, people management, and teamwork skills.
About the job
In this role, you will have the opportunity to work on one of Google’s most exciting product areas -- Devices and Services! This product area includes the Pixel Ecosystem, Home and Health (including Fitbit), Google Store, Google Fi, Silicon and more.On this dynamic team you will craft and implement solutions that ensure compliance with our agreement and spend policies, while optimizing execution velocity and enhancing our growing and increasingly complex systems and processes. You will influence decision making with Google’s executives in Finance, Sales, Marketing, Legal, Product, Engineering, Supply Chain and Operations. You will have collaboration, process design, communication, data analysis and project management skills which will be utilized.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain financial compliance governance policies.
- Serve as main Point of Contact (POC) to key stakeholders for financial compliance approval workflows.
- Leverage deep understanding of established frameworks to triage escalations from cross-functional business partners and separately identify the most appropriate solution.
- Partner with cross-functional stakeholders in sales, operations, legal, and finance to identify gaps in processes or controls and develop scalable and automated solutions to streamline or remediate.
- Surface key insights and trends in financial compliance through metrics published to executive business partners.
