- Experience in either system design or coding (e.g., Java, C++, Python).
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience launching IoT and smart home platforms.
- Experience working with suppliers, clients or partners on debugging and troubleshooting technical issues.
- Experience working with SoC partners to bring up devices and assure platform quality.
- Experience developing developer tools (e.g. automation, testing, debugging).
- Experience with AI/LLM, including integrating these technologies into development workflows or customer solutions.
About the job
As a Technical Solutions Consultant, you will be responsible for the technical relationship of our largest advertising clients or product partners. You will lead cross-functional teams in Engineering, Sales and Product Management to leverage emerging technologies for our external clients/partners. From concept design and testing to data analysis and support, you will oversee the technical execution and business operations of Google's online advertising platforms or product partnerships.
You will be able to balance business and partner needs with technical constraints, develop innovative, cutting edge solutions and act as a partner and consultant to those you are working with. You will also be able to build tools and automate products, oversee the technical execution and business operations of Google's partnerships, as well as develop product strategy and prioritize projects and resources.
The Google Home team focuses on hardware, software and services offerings for the home, ranging from thermostats to smart displays. The Home team researches, designs, and develops new technologies and hardware to make users’ homes more helpful. Our mission is the helpful home: to create a home that cares for the people inside it and the world around it.
Responsibilities
- Understand partner use cases and offer insights and recommendations on solution design, development, tooling and integration.
- Build samples, codelabs and documentation to support partners integrations with Google Home devices or platforms.
- Partner closely with the Software Engineering team to communicate technical feedback from partners, resolve bugs or integration problems and resolve escalations of technical issues from Technical Account Managers.
- Speak at developer events and partner summits.
- Travel to meet with current or new partners to provide face-to-face support and troubleshooting, up to 20% as required.
