Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a technical or engineering field or equivalent practical experience.
- 1 year of experience in program or project management, leading multi-disciplinary projects.
- Experience establishing metrics for operations management.
- Experience with data analysis.
- Experience in technical program management working with technical tools and on cross-functional projects.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience with large-scale data processing systems, ETL processes, or data warehousing.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement skills, with experience working with both internal teams and external vendors.
- Familiarity with geospatial data formats (e.g., vector, raster) and concepts.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose complex data-related issues, make logical trade-offs, and effectively manage project timelines and deliverables.
- Proficiency in a scripting language for data analysis and automation.

You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers.

The Geo team also enables developers to use the power of Google Maps platforms to enhance their apps and websites. As they plot a course for the future of mapping, they are solving complex computer science problems, designing beautiful and intuitive product experiences, and improving our understanding of the real world.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with technical specialists and engineering teams to define requirements for new workflows that improve data processing efficiency and quality.
- Develop and deliver compelling presentations on data initiatives, project status, and performance metrics to a broad audience.
- Engage with internal stakeholder teams and external data partners to ensure the successful integration of data, resolve issues, and manage expectations.
- Execute well-defined projects within to process third-party data for Google Maps.
- Manage the lifecycle of data processing projects by defining insightful metrics project plans, tracking milestones, identifying and mitigating risks, and communicating status updates to stakeholders.
