Minimum qualifications:

  • Ability to thrive in ambiguity and navigate to develop solutions.
  • Ability to plan and manage at both the strategic and operational level and to launch new products or programs in the marketplace.
  • Ability to work with data sources to derive key insights.
  • Excellent presentation and decision making skills.

As a Program Manager at Google, you’ll lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish — working with stakeholders to plan requirements, manage project schedules, identify risks, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. Your projects will often span offices, time zones, and hemispheres. It's your job to coordinate the players and keep them up to date on progress and deadlines.

The Platforms and Devices team encompasses Google's various computing software platforms across environments (desktop, mobile, applications), as well as our first party devices and services that combine the best of Google AI, software, and hardware. Teams across this area research, design, and develop new technologies to make our user's interaction with computing faster and more seamless, building innovative experiences for our users around the world.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee centralized global supply-demand planning while serving as an Omni-Channel Regional Demand Planner, collaborating with Sales Operations, Product Management, and Finance to drive accurate forecasts, enable volume attainment, and optimize cost and inventory for customers.
  • Develop supply and demand models to minimize total costs and inventories while maintaining service levels to customers, lead cross-functional Sales and Operations planning, and drive cross-functional alignment on sales forecast and supply allocation.
  • Work in partnership with Product Operations, Sourcing team and Global Service and Logistics to set optimal build plans and transportation choices to meet goals and budgets.
  • Drive product success of metrics such as inventory, material spend, freight in, COGS, and gross margins.
