Financial Analyst (English, Spanish)

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Statistics, or another quantitative field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 4 years of experience in financial planning and analysis (FP&A), consulting, or a related function, or an advanced degree.
  • Ability to communicate in English and Spanish fluently to support client relationship management in this region.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience developing and maintaining financial dashboards and reports using BI tools.
  • Ability to utilize SQL to extract and manipulate complex data sets for financial reporting and analysis.
  • Ability to conduct financial analysis and develop forecasts, budgets, and financial models.
  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights and recommendations.
  • Ability to automate and optimize financial processes using a combination of technical and investigative skills.

Financial Analysts ensure that Google makes sound financial decisions. As a Financial Analyst, your work, whether it's modeling business scenarios or tracking performance metrics, is used by our leaders to make strategic company decisions. While working on multiple projects at a time, you are focused on the details while finding creative ways to solve big picture challenges.

In this role, you will drive the reporting and analysis for the newly launched sales leadership scorecard framework for our Go-To-Market (GTM) leadership team. You will be responsible for tracking performance metrics, generating insightful reports that translate complex data into clear narratives, and conducting analysis to uncover business performance trends. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and automate scalable solutions, ensuring data-driven decision-making across the organization. You will also partner with cross-functional leaders to scale and automate solutions across the organization.

From developing forward-thinking analysis to generating management reports to scaling our automated financial processes, the Finance organization is an important partner and advisor to the business.

Responsibilities

  • Drive automation and adoption of sales leadership reporting for GTM and Product leadership to scale measurement of performance metrics, insights and actions across the organization.
  • Extract and analyze large datasets using SQL to support financial planning and analysis processes.
  • Present recommendations to leadership, influencing decisions and driving strategic business action.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to drive accountability for business performance improvements, including the operational accuracy needed to realize desired outcomes.
  • Manage project deliverables across multiple teams (finance, sales, strategy and operations, compensation, product teams, etc.) on a tight schedule, driving stakeholder collaboration.
