Minimum qualifications:
- Master's degree in Statistics, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Economics, Operations Research, Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
- 3 years of work experience using analytics to solve product or business problems, coding (e.g., Python, R, SQL), querying databases or statistical analysis, or a PhD degree.

About the job
The Age Assurance team’s mission is to provide Google with reliable, privacy-preserving age signals and to support seamless, age-appropriate journeys across Google products. In this role, the team plays a critical part in identifying minors through predictive methods and designing user experiences that allow users to proactively verify their age to access sensitive content.
Responsibilities
- Work with cross-functional teams and develop understanding of the underlying product problems that the team is aiming to solve. Design and inform analysis and collaborate closely with cross-functional counterparts and product leads while designing analysis.
- Translate business problems into tractable investigative problems and execute analysis to drive change.
- Develop and improve inference and prediction algorithms in high-stakes.
- Perform data analysis and modeling to identify opportunities for product improvement and measure the impact of initiatives to continuously refine our products.
- Help design and analyze experiments and consult with engineering teams on the analysis of A/B tests.
