Hybrid Sales Specialist, Google Workspace (Japanese)

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 10 years of experience in a quota-carrying and Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) business role.
  • Experience promoting technology solutions to the Public Sector in Japan.
  • Experience in enterprise business, account management, or business development.
  • Ability to communicate in Japanese fluently in this customer-facing role as it requires interactions with local stakeholders.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience working with partners in the Japanese public sector.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills, with the ability to engage with executives and government officials.
  • Experience working in a organization to collaborate with field business teams, specialists, and leadership.
  • Understanding of the Japanese Local Government (LG) market, including its procurement cycles, bidding processes, and stakeholders.
  • Ability to develop and execute on a cross-functional market plan.
  • Ability to communicate in English fluently as it requires interactions with internal communication management.

In this role, you will deliver cloud-based collaboration, productivity, and security tools. You will be responsible for developing the market success of Google Workspace. You will work individually to focus on the existing accounts business, and also prospect, qualify, and develop Google Workspace opportunities. You will work to build a pipeline and work with the multiple stakeholders to build out customer solutions and drive agreements. You will act as a subject matter expert, driving and closing agreements across multiple accounts within the public sector. You will work in collaboration with the existing Workspace Specialists and partners, providing support and leading opportunities that are critical to the success in Japan.

We are seeking a Hybrid Business Specialist to lead the growth within the Japanese Local Government (LG) sector. This is a pivotal role designed to capture a market opportunity.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a cross-account business strategy to expand the operations and reach within the local government bodies in Japan.
  • Take the lead in managing and closing business opportunities within the LG market.
  • Serve as the go-to expert on the Japanese LG market, understanding its procurement processes, selection-making structures, and engaged landscape.
  • Build and grow relationships with partners, including system integrators, to expand our market reach, co-promote, and drive joint growth within the LG ecosystem.
  • Drive growth and accelerate the capture of Total Addressable Market (TAM) in the public sector, with a focus on LG.
