Program Manager, Platforms Regulatory Strategy

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree.

  • 4 years of experience in regulatory compliance program/project management.
  • Experience handling public policy challenges relating to mobile platforms, devices, operating systems, mobile advertising, mobile apps, or games, and other services.
  • Experience with designing and operationalizing regulatory compliance programs for new and emerging regulations.
  • Experience with Android or other mobile platforms.

As a Program Manager at Google, you’ll lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish — working with stakeholders to plan requirements, manage project schedules, identify risks, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. Your projects will often span offices, time zones, and hemispheres. It's your job to coordinate the players and keep them up to date on progress and deadlines.

The mission of the Platforms Strategy team is to drive the strategic agenda and priorities for these products in order to create the best mobile platform and ecosystem. With an ever evolving regulatory landscape, the team is also responsible for evaluating and driving strategy for these products in light of those regulations.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $174,000-$258,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Design, setup and program manage several large-scale, high complexity programs around the regulatory response focused on Android/Chrome businesses and product development in light of existing and upcoming regulations.
  • Lead program design for a portfolio of complex interconnected programs.
  • Develop program roadmaps, timelines and identify cross-functional owners and stakeholders and propose an effective and efficient program cadence, working groups and executive reviews.
  • Develop program timelines, resolve cross-program issues and strategic issues with executive stakeholders, monitor progress towards goals throughout the entire project lifecycle, manage risks, issues and take corrective actions, leverage best practices to recommend the most efficient program management processes.
  • Work closely with Legal, Compliance, Product, Engineering, Finance and public policy teams to ensure regulatory considerations across all regions are integrated into our product and business initiatives, across Android/Chrome and related products.
