About the job

At Google, we put our users first. The world is always changing, so we need Product Managers who are continuously adapting and excited to work on products that affect millions of people every day.

In this role, you will work cross-functionally to guide products from conception to launch by connecting the technical and business worlds. You can break down complex problems into steps that drive product development.

One of the many reasons Google consistently brings innovative, world-changing products to market is because of the collaborative work we do in Product Management. Our team works closely with creative engineers, designers, marketers, etc. to help design and develop technologies that improve access to the world's information. We're responsible for guiding products throughout the execution cycle, focusing specifically on analyzing, positioning, packaging, promoting, and tailoring our solutions to our users.

In this role, you will drive multi-device capabilities that empower first-party and third-party App developers to build multi-device experiences for the entire Google ecosystem (Android, ChromeOS, and beyond). Think secondary devices (AR glasses / watch), companions (earbuds), peripherals (chargers), terminals (kiosks) – all working seamlessly together. You will design the experience for the entire user journey from on-boarding, pairing, device ranging, presence detection, ongoing interaction, and management and control UIs. You will drive core Android Settings across devices to ensure users can manage and control how their devices are configured to work together and overtime use AI to adapt to user preferences automatically.
Android is Google’s open-source mobile operating system powering more than 3 billion devices worldwide. Android is about bringing computing to everyone in the world. We believe computing is a super power for good, enabling access to information, economic opportunity, productivity, connectivity between friends and family and more. We think everyone in the world should have access to the best computing has to offer. We provide the platform for original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and developers to build compelling computing devices (smartphones, tablets, TVs, wearables, etc) that run the best apps/services for everyone in the world.

Responsibilities

  • Define and execute on the Better Together Foundations goal for Android, initiatives including: shared cross-device user<>device context, cross-device configuration and management UIs, AI-powered user preference, habit, and behavior learning and automation tools that auto-adapt cross-device experiences to the user's state, mode and context.
  • Define and execute UIs and APIs for cross-device features across first-party and third-party client apps.
  • Engage externally with App developers, device manufacturers, cellular carriers, and regulators to influence standards, implementations, and cross-device experiences' adoption.
  • Define product requirements, long-term roadmaps, and deliver excellent product features against these plans.
  • Collaborate closely with Engineering, UX/UXR, other Product Managers, Legal, Privacy, Marketing, and Business Development teams. Work closely with core partners inside Android and across Google.
