Product Feedback Data Scientist

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative discipline (Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, Physics) or equivalent practical experience.
  • 6 years of experience in a data science or analytical role with a focus on extracting insights from datasets to drive business impact.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master’s degree or PhD in a quantitative or scientific discipline with a strong emphasis on statistical analysis, machine learning, or data mining.
  • 4 years of experience working with product feedback data.
  • Ability to translate business questions into analytical frameworks and extract actionable insights.

About the job

As a Product Feedback Data Scientist, you will be instrumental in transforming product feedback into strategic insights that drive product development and Go-To-Market strategies. You will design and execute complex analytical projects. Your focus will be on building robust data pipelines and sophisticated data models to uncover key user pain points, predict future needs, and identify significant trends within vast datasets of user feedback.

You will collaborate closely with Product Managers, Engineering, and GTM teams, acting as a thought leader in data-driven decision-making. This involves proactively identifying strategic analytical opportunities and working on ambiguous problems. You will own the end-to-end process of transforming raw feedback into impactful insights, building self-service dashboards, and ensuring that data effectively informs product roadmaps and commercialization efforts.

The Go-to-Market Operations (GtM) team ensures Google's complex and ever-evolving Ads business runs smoothly. We are instrumental in setting go-to-market strategy, and ensuring flawless execution and operations against the strategy. We have teams embedded in each of the major Ads business areas as well as global teams that work across the business areas. Team members are analytical and strategic, with a pragmatic sense of how to get things done.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $166,000-$244,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Design and implement data pipelines using Java and/or Python to process and integrate product feedback data from various sources.
  • Conduct advanced statistical analysis and build sophisticated data models to identify key trends, correlations, and actionable insights from user feedback.
  • Develop compelling data visualizations and presentations to communicate complex findings and strategic recommendations to audiences.
  • Partner with Product and GTM teams to translate data-driven insights into concrete actions that influence product development and go-to-market strategies.
  • Explore new data sources and analytical techniques to enhance our understanding of user feedback and drive greater product impact.
