Director, Scaled Commercial Activation and Insights, Global Partnerships

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 15 years of experience across programmatic advertising, analytics, and insights, including experience with the advertising ecosystem and the interdependencies between publishers, DSPs, SSPs, and agency partners.
  • 10 years of experience in people management, including coaching, mentoring, and scaling developing talent.
  • 10 years of experience leading virtual or matrixed teams and working with cross-functional senior stakeholders.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Understanding of P&L management and key business drivers, with the ability to manage margins, forecast accurately, and optimize the financial health of a business unit.
  • Technical understanding of how data-driven implementation impacts publisher and advertiser success, with a passion for product development.
  • Deep expertise shaping commercial strategy/go-to-market plans leveraging data science/analytics to deliver business generation goals.
  • Ability to architect complex commercial structures and multi-year incentive models for agencies, ensuring competitive and sustainable agreement terms.
  • Ability to build new organizational structures (such as a Center of Excellence) from the ground up.

As a member of Global Partnerships Sellside, you will connect the world's advertising demand to publisher inventory and protect user privacy so that publishers grow in a transparent, safe and sustainable ads ecosystem.

As the Director of Scaled Commercial, Activation & Insights (SCAI), you will provide senior-level oversight for high-growth, developing teams with an emphasis on brand and agency commercial strategy. You will lead the Analytical and Agency Activation teams, centralizing our data-driven implementation and optimization efforts. By establishing a Center of Excellence (CoE) that pairs advanced analytics with account activation, you will drive scaled business generation and ensure our global commercial partnerships have the director-level engagement required to succeed in a complex market.

The Global Partnerships organization is responsible for exploring new opportunities with Google's partners. Google’s Global Partnerships team works with a wide range of partners to bring the best of Google to power their business. The Global Partnerships team supports Google’s own Product teams with essential partnerships to help Google’s user experiences in advertising, Search, Assistant, Maps, Travel, Shopping, Payments and more. Teams create product-enabling partnerships, go-to-market strategies and incubate business growth for a variety of products.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $262,000-$369,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Build and lead a highly analytical Center of Excellence (CoE) for at-scale activation, ensuring data-driven optimization across the agency landscape.
  • Pair analytics teams with agency activation specialists unlocking business generation via technical optimization and thorough performance analysis.
  • Develop, scale, and oversee commercial agreement programs and contracting, instilling operational focus and effectiveness.
  • Provide leadership for high-growth analytical and agency activation teams, fostering mentorship, coaching, and accountability.
  • Act as a director-level lead for global commercial partnerships, engaging senior external stakeholders and agency executives to align strategy.
