Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent practical experience.
- 8 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, C, C++, Java, JavaScript).
- 5 years of experience in a technical leadership role; overseeing projects, with 5 years of experience in a people management, supervision/team leadership role.
Preferred qualifications:
- Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical field.
- 5 years of experience working in a complex, matrixed organization.
- Experience with AI Agents, Large Language Models (LLMs), in-context learning.

Our architecture goes throughout the back-end stack, including storage, micro services, AI Agents and interfaces. We closely partner with multiple teams in ASI, Core, Cloud and other Product Areas, including UI, UX and Technical Writers.
In this role, you will contribute as a people manager, techinical leader and drive impactful architectural decisions, work with a wide network of partner teams, and stay on the AI technology.The Core team builds the technical foundation behind Google’s flagship products. We are owners and advocates for the underlying design elements, developer platforms, product components, and infrastructure at Google. These are the essential building blocks for excellent, safe, and coherent experiences for our users and drive the pace of innovation for every developer. We look across Google’s products to build central solutions, break down technical barriers and strengthen existing systems. As the Core team, we have a mandate and a unique opportunity to impact important technical decisions across the company.
Responsibilities
- Lead and grow a team of software engineers to build and launch company wide AI-based access security features.
- Participate in designing and implementing AI Agents, infrastructure and integrations.
- Investigate, adopt and promote across the broader organization the latest technology and best practices in building AI Agents and AI-based security applications.
- Foster an open, culture of teamwork and collaboration. Work closely with software engineers, product managers and partner engineering teams to drive high-quality AI-based products and features through the software project life-cycle.
- Identify and mitigate technical, resourcing and scheduling risks in close collaboration with the other leaders and stakeholders.
